Frequently Asked Questions
Do you require a deposit or booking fee? Yes. To reserve your wedding date, A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date on my calendar. This fee will be applied to your remaining balance.
What is the 15 minute sound therapy session? This optional 15-minute session is designed to help calm the body and quiet the mind before we begin styling.
Using a Tibetan singing bowl and tuning forks, I guide a gentle grounding experience that helps regulate the nervous system and shift the energy in the room from rushed to relaxed. It’s a simple but powerful way to set the emotional tone for your wedding morning.
Many brides tell me this is the moment they finally take a full breath.
The session can be done just for you, or shared with your guests to create a calm, supportive atmosphere in the getting-ready space. It’s not woo-woo or overwhelming — it’s grounding, subtle, and deeply settling.
Do I need a hair trial? Your hair trial is included in your package. You wouldn’t wear a wedding dress you hadn’t tried on, right?! At your trial, I get to know your hair—its texture, how it holds a curl, what you love, and what you don’t. We fine-tune EVERY detail so that on your wedding day, there are no surprises—just confidence in knowing you’ll love the way you look. If any tweaks need to be made, we’ll know ahead of time, making the actual wedding morning flow perfectly. Plus, it’s a chance for us to connect! You’ll already feel comfortable and confident in my chair, knowing exactly what to expect. It’s like wedding hair insurance—ensuring that when you walk down the aisle, your hair is everything you envisioned.
When should I schedule my hair trial? 2-4 months before your wedding date. I will send you a calendar to book it.
Where does my hair trial take place + how long is it? Your hair trial is done at my home studio in Irvine, Ca (92612). It is approximately 3hrs. Additional styles are $50 each and dependent on time.
Can my mother book a hair trial? Yes! I love working with moms! A phone call or FaceTime consult is required prior to booking.
Should I schedule my hair trial for the same day as my shower? Actually, No. I don’t recommend this. Because we could be trying more than 1 style, you don’t want to feel rushed, and you don’t want to show up on the wedding day with the same hairstyle as your shower.
I need hair care help! Can you give me recommendations? Yes! I specialize in non-toxic hair care + scalp health. I love to help!
Can my bridal party get ready at the venue's bridal suite? I’m going to say no, unless it’s JUST you getting ready in it. Bridal suites at venues are unfortunately NOT designed for multiple artists + you and the bridal party. My recommendation is to book an Airbnb or a hotel suite with plenty of space and light. (you want everyone to be comfy, have a place to chill, snack + get ready=lots of space)
Do you style children? Hair services are available for ages 8 and older. Because the time and artistry required is the same, all styling is charged at the standard rate.
What if I signed my contract for an assistant, but some of my girls backed out and don’t need one now? I understand that things happen, but once your contract is signed, you are responsible for paying the balance on the contract.
How many people do you style on your own? My maximum is 4 people. Anything 5+ requires a second hairstylist. You can also request a 2nd stylist in order to have a later start time. (I get it! We’re not all morning people!)
How do I rent clip-in extensions? I will color match you either before or during the hair trial. $650 rental fee will be added to your invoice. After the wedding you have 7 days to mail them back. Once they are received, damage free, you will receive $350 deposit back via venmo.
Can my bridesmaids rent extensions? Sorry, no. Rentals are for the bride only.
What exactly are “touch-ups”? Touch ups are done when all hairstyling services are complete in the getting ready room. Bridal party touch up timing will be on the morning hair schedule and is included in your package.
After-Hours Concierge Hair Support
For brides who have not booked “The One” experience, any time beyond the scheduled touch-up window is considered after-hours support. This may include extended on-site time or traveling to a second location for veil placement or final adjustments.
